In Jul-Mar 23/24 MY, Ukraine managed to double its share in EU rapeseed meal market to 20% (137 KMT). At the same time, russia and belarus together covered 70% of Union's needs.

Cumulative russia and belarus rapeseed meal supplies to the EU in Jul-Mar 23/24 totaled around 0.5 MMT, according to EU Commission data.

But finally, after months of consideration, EU inked tariff hikes on grain, oilseed and by-products from russia and belarus, coming to force on 01 Jul, 2024. And thus it brings a question as to who will take over this monstrous share in the EU in a new season.
