Algeria's state grain agency, OAIC, has reportedly purchased about 150 KMT of optional-origin milling wheat in a 25 February tender, with some estimates suggesting the volume could be as high as 170 KMT.

The wheat is scheduled for shipment between April and June to only two small ports, indicating that a relatively limited volume was secured. Most of the volume is expected to come from the Black Sea region.

Reported purchase prices ranged from 273 to 274 USD/MT C&F, marking an 11 USD/MT increase from the agency’s previous tender purchase on 13 February, when at least 330 KMT of wheat was bought at 262-263 USD/MT.

For comparison, offer prices for Ukrainian 11.5% protein milling wheat rose from 241 USD/MT FOB POC as of 14 February to 244–248 USD/MT FOB POC as of 25 February.
