As of 01 Aug, wheat harvesting in Ukraine was done on 4.5 MLN HA, AgMin
reported, that is 92% of AgMin’s forecast area. Year ago, harvesting campaign
was completed on 2.7 MLN HA. So far farmers collected 19.4 MMT of wheat with
the average yield at 4.35 MT/HA, up from 4.2 MT/HA LW, but down from 4.64 MT/HA
at the corresponding date LY.
Farmers harvested barley from 1.3 MLN HA or 93% of the forecast area.
Year ago, harvesting campaign was done on 939.5 KHA. So far 4.8 MMT was
collected. The average yield is at 3.72 MT/HA, slightly lower than 3.79 MT/HA
LW and down from 4 MT/HA the year ago.
Ukrainian farmers harvested rapeseed from 1.25 MLN HA that is 95% of the
forecast area. Year ago, harvesting campaign was done on 1.18 MLN HA. So far
3.2 MMT of rapeseed was collected this campaign. The average yield decreased to
2.71 MT/HA from 2.83 MT/HA LW, and is also lower than 2.81 MT/HA at the
corresponding date LY.
Peas was harvested from 210.1 KHA or 98% of the forecast area. Year ago,
harvesting campaign was done on 125.3 KHA. So far farmers collected 451.6 KMT
of peas with the average yield at 2.2 MT/HA, virtually same as 2.19 MT/HA LW,
but down vs 2.45 MT/HA LY.
