The past week brought mostly dry and mild weather across southern and southeastern Ukraine, giving farmers a clear window to push through the autumn sowing campaign. Winter wheat planting is now about nine-tenths complete, while barley posted its fastest weekly progress since the start of the season. At the same time, the AgMin tweaked its 2026/27 winter crop forecasts, making small adjustments as the sowing season draws to a close.

As of 3 November 2025, Ukraine’s winter wheat campaign was entering the home stretch — 90% of the planned area, or 4.3 MHA, is now in the ground, ahead of last year’s 86%.
