Algeria's state grain agency, OAIC, has reportedly purchased about 660 KMT of optional-origin milling wheat in its 14 May tender, with some market sources suggesting the final volume could reach up to 700 KMT.

The wheat is scheduled for shipment in two periods: 1–15 July and 16–30 July. Most of the supply is expected to originate from the Black Sea region, with Romania, russia, and Ukraine named among the key suppliers. French wheat remained excluded from the deal, as diplomatic tensions between France and Algeria persist, despite earlier reports of a thaw.

The purchase price was reported at 244.5 USD/MT C&F, marking a 23 USD/MT decrease from OAIC’s previous tender on 16 April, when the agency bought at least 570 KMT for June shipment.

For reference, Ukrainian new crop 11.5% protein milling wheat was offered at 230-232 USD/MT FOB for August shipment as of 14 May.
