As of April 10, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have planted 1.05 MLN HA of spring crops, according to operational data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. This marks 18.6% of the newly adjusted total forecasted area of 5.68 MLN HA, as the AgMin has revised its earlier projection of 5.76 Mha downward reducing its earlier plan for these crops by 80 KHA mainly due to barley and corn projected areas.
Barley remains the leader with 612 KHA sown (78.9% of the planned 776 KHA), though the pace lags behind last year’s 82.9% at the same date.
With only 18.6% of the spring grain area and 2.4% of industrial crops sown by April 10, the campaign trails slightly behind 2024’s pace.
