On 8 April, Ukrainian corn selling ideas rose to 253–255 USD/MT CIF Marmara for April–May handysize shipments, up from 250 USD/MT on 4 April. Sellers remain optimistic, expecting further price increases amid U.S. tariff measures and potential countermeasures — factors that could boost demand for Ukrainian corn as an alternative origin.

However, most Turkish buyers stayed cautious, unwilling to accept prices above the high 240s USD/MT. Many chose to remain on the sidelines, awaiting clearer price signals.

The Konya Commodity Exchange also reflected this upward momentum: corn prices rose to 285 USD/MT on 8 April, compared to 283 USD/MT just four days earlier.
