On 5 Feb, Christina Serebriakova, CEO of ASAP
Agri, spoke at a press conference hosted by the Ukrainian Embassy in Spain,
addressing shifting trade patterns between Ukraine and Spain.
Serebriakova highlighted that Spain remains
the largest importer of Ukrainian grain, accounting for 20% of Ukraine’s grain
exports in the first half of the 2024/25 season. However, this marks a decline
from 30% in the previous year—a trend ASAP Agri identified as early as last
summer.
“The agricultural market is constantly
evolving, and those who anticipate shifts before they happen gain a competitive
edge. During this season, 70% of ASAP Agri’s price forecasts came true,”
Serebriakova said.
On 25 Feb, Madrid will host the trade mission
"Rebirth of Ukraine", an initiative aimed at strengthening economic
ties between Ukraine and Spain. The event will bring together mayors of key
Ukrainian cities, business leaders, government officials, and international
organizations to discuss major economic and cultural initiatives. On 25 Feb,
Serebriakova will address key questions on Ukraine-Spain grain trade in Madrid.
The presentation will include the key commodities traded, Ukraine’s price
positioning against global competitors, and the introduction of new Ukrainian agricultural
products to the Spanish market.
