As winter approaches, Ukrainian farmers are wrapping up the 2024 harvest season, with corn, sunflower, and soybean harvests nearing completion. In the week of 22 to 28 November, 2024 Ukrainian farmers harvested 66.3 KHA of corn vs. 130.8 KHA during previous week. In total this year, 96% (almost 3.8 MLN HA) of crop have already been gathered vs. 3.4 MLN HA at the corresponding date in 2023. The yield this week improved to 6.43 MT/HA vs. 6.4 MT/HA LW, which is still below 7.8 MT/HA LY. In total, 24.2 MMT of corn have been harvested vs. 26.1 MMT at the corresponding date LY.

Only 2.2 KHA of sunflower have been harvested this week vs. 80.4 KHA a week earlier, which signifies approaching to the end of crop harvesting campaign. In total, 97% or 4.9 MLN HA of sunflower have been harvested yielding 10.2 MMT vs. 5.0 MLN HA (11.9 MMT) in 2023. The yield improved slightly to 2.1 MT/HA vs. 2.08 MT/HA LW and 2.35 MT/HA LY.

99% (2.6 MLN HA) of soybean yielding 6.0 MMT have been harvested with just 3.3 KHA of weekly progress (slowing down from 13.1 KHA LW) vs. 1.8 MLN HA (4.8 MMT) LY. The yield stays at 2.3 MT/HA vs. 2.65 MT/HA LY.
