This week, freight rates for grain shipments from Ukraine have remained largely stable, with minor fluctuations on specific routes. Trading activity has picked up slightly as many market players returned after industry events, bringing a few more orders to the market. However, still abundant tonnage supply across all DWT segments continues to pressure owners' positions in negotiations.

Thus, according to Atria Brokers' freight department, Panamax rates for corn or wheat shipments from POC ports to South China remain stable at 42-44 USD/MT.

For Handysize vessels carrying corn from POC ports, rates to East Coast Italy are stable at 20-21 USD/MT.

Coaster rates for corn shipments from Ukrainian Danube ports to East Coast Italy ports remain steady at 30-31 USD/MT.

Freight for corn transportation by barges from Reni or Izmail to Constanta stays at 9 EUR/MT.
